Remember…The ANW rules state that the player must play their disc from where they lie regardless of location. If it’s in a tree, well, you need to play it from there.
Where the heck was this disc?
After putting together last years Tourney scores and analysis (see here) I thought I would see how many shots are in a fifth.
A standard shot is indeed 1.5 ounces, and a fifth is 750 millileters. There are 44.36 mL in each 1.5 oz shot. doing the math, there are 16.907 1.5oz shots in a fifth. Not off by much really, but the extra mil and a half would be nice.
“a fifth holds 17.066667 shots
1 shot = 1.5 ounces
It depends on the definitions. A fifth of a gallon is 25.6 oz, 725.76 mL. A shot is technically an ounce, but shot glasses are generally an ounce and a half, technically a jigger.
That means the men of ANW downed slightly more than 6 fifths of George Dickel Whiskey chasing the ANW Disc Golf trophy.
